Hello from chilly and bleak Calgary, Canada,

After visiting Doug Casey's Gulch in northern Argentina I had returned home to Acapulco for a few days before making my way to the great white north.  As I was returning to Acapulco my email inbox began to fillup with people asking me if I was OK.  Apparently there was a devastating, massive 7.9 Earthquake near Acapulco.

[The following post is written by Randal Lane, TDV Egyptian Correspondent]

But wait, you’re not an prisoner you say? Well, I would disagree with that and allow me to explain.

[Editor's Note: The following is from our Mexican based TDV Education Correspondent, Jorge Gato]

Don't understand economics?  And the thought of even trying makes your eyes cross?

Hello from the beach in Acapulco,

I am back home in Mexico after nearly three weeks in Argentina and very happy to be here. Home is where your heart is and for me that is right here in Southern Mexico. I'm a believer that there is a "right" place for everyone in the world... and it just so happens that rarely are you lucky enough to be born in that place so it is well worth taking the time to look for it.

Gold Stock Speculating Amongst Fools

March 15, 2012

Investing, and in particular speculating, can be said to be the art of attempting to guess how stupid most people will be and position yourself to profit from it.

This has been the case more so than usual lately as the precious metals and gold and silver stocks have pulled back yet again despite there being no valid fundamental reason for them to do so.  However, we here at TDV had predicted this possibility and so we are not surprised to see the gold stocks have been sent back out to the woodshed again this week.
