Barbed Wire Is Beautiful

I love barbed wire.  I love electric fences.  I love gates and security systems, guard dogs and guns.  As I strolled with my chihuahuas through my beautiful Acapulco neighborhood recently I realized this.  An American friend who had come down to Acapulco to live pointed it out.  “Wow, electric fence,” he stated, pointing at one of many nice villas in my neighborhood that have that type of fencing.  I had never really thought about it, but his comment gave me reason to do so.

[Editor's Note: The following is from our Mexican based TDV Education Correspondent, Jorge Gato]

Many argue that modern schooling has failed to achieve its goals. On the contrary, it has been extremely triumphant. From students who can’t read or add two and two to the brainwashed Marxist internationalists, it is has been a resounding success.

Dear Reader/Subscriber,

I am especially thrilled to announce that I've been invited to appear at FreedomFest this July 11-14 in Las Vegas.  I've never been before but everyone in my libertarian/anarchist circles tells me this is the must attend event of the year for liberty-minded people.

I am also incredibly happy to be co-hosting a luncheon with my mentor and one of my most favorite people on the planet, Doug Casey, on Thursday, July 11th entitled, "Don't Get Mad, Get Even."

Hello from Taxco, Mexico,

It sounds strange, I know, to live on the beach in Acapulco and take a "vacation" to a mountain town like Taxco, but everyone needs a change of scenery from time to time.  And in this particular case, my wife wanted a little getaway without all the kids and dogs.  So we boarded a first class bus on Estrella de Oro and I worked away on my laptop via iPhone internet tethering over TelCel 3G service which worked for the majority of the four hour trip.

[The following Post is by Redmond Weissenberger, Managing Editor of the Dollar Vigilante]

Here at the Dollar Vigilante we are always stressing the importance of denationalizing your ass and assets, before the inevitable crash of the Federal Reserve Note. During the lead up to the Great Default the local, state and federal tax feeders will grow hungrier and for those of you with assets, it is incredibly important that you protect yourself through obtaining second passports, and internationally diversifying into hard assets that minimize your geopolitical risk.

[The Following post is by TDV Correspondent, Chris Sullivan]

Back in the '70s, I used to expect the government to suffer a financial collapse at which time it would have to quit doing most of the things it's doing because it would run out of money. That isn't what has happened. Instead of  cutting spending it has printed more money and tried to increase taxes on various things.

The Slave Card Stampede

Face it, we live in a prison planet.  Just try travelling without a government issued slave card... a slave card (passport) that states right on the first page that it is not your property. It is the property of the government who purports to own you in the geographic region where you just happened to be born or settled.

You'd like to go somewhere and work?  Not so fast, you need permission!  Almost any nation-state on Earth will demand you get  permission to work (permit/visa) if you wish to go to a different tax farm and be productive.  And even if they allow you to work there they will almost surely take a large part of the fruits of your labor.
