"When they come for my gun, they will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands," is a common refrain I often hear from the Neo-Cons when there is a threat, credible or otherwise, that the US government is going to take their firearms.
And, when I hear this crazy talk, I agree with them openly. "You are right. They will pry your gun from your cold dead hands," which I often follow with the question, "And where will that leave you except face down in a pool of your own blood the middle of the street, just another dead fool resisting the State?"
Just back from an eventful Freedomfest 2012, Jeff talks to Phil Mackesy from howestreet.com.

Was it Police State Week at TDV? It sure felt like it. Still reeling from our Vegas encounters, we add the tales of the TSA Gestapo, as well as reaction to the mass shooting in Colorado which bred a gun control debate. Plus, the Mafioso Fed, the creepy Olympics (not-live on your local NBC affiliate!) and…Rockapulco?
Before we get to it, however, please check out this excellent interview Jeff Berwick did with the great Daily Bell website.

Ron Paul’s Federal Reserve Transparency Act (H.R. 459), or “Audit the Fed,” passed Wednesday July 25, 2012 in the U.S. House of Representatives by a wide margin of 327-98, exceeding the two-thirds majority needed. It had 274 cosponsors. But, by the evening of the same day, mainstream press around the country was already preparing the people for the bill’s fate in the Democrat-controlled Senate. As the Chicago Tribune and others reported, it had little chance of passing in the Senate, let alone being signed into law by the President.
What to make of the Batman shooter who killed 12 people this week in Aurora, Colorado?
If we were to listen to sociopaths like Michael Bloomberg or mass murderers like Felipe Calderon then the problem is that guns exist and the solution is to have the government violently take them away from all people... except of course the true criminals like the government, police and regular criminals who would never turn in their guns.
