Welcome to another edition of Feedback Friday—an abbreviated version, as Jeff Berwick has been at FreedomFest in Las Vegas all week and has been punishing his liver like it stole something. This week we respond on transaction taxes, as well as the denigration of sexuality.

A TRANSACTION TAX?

Hello from New Zealand, Jeff,

How about doing an article on a transaction tax where there are no deductions or exemptions? (It would replace all current taxes.)

A former governor of our reserve bank said a tax of $0.1% on the daily turnover in our banking system of around $30 billion would be sufficient to run the government. (New Zealand popopulation 4.5 million.)

Of course it would expose the money laundering of big business, the banks, the legal and accounting fraternities. (Who are the major contributors to the politicians re-election campaigns.)

A start has to be made somewhere and maybe France and Germany will be the ones.

Hi Lou,

What you are proposing is that theft be done at gunpoint, as opposed to the manner in which it is typically done these days. It's the equivalent of watching a man beat his two-year-old daughter brutally with a crowbar and walking over and suggesting he use a hammer because it'd get the job done faster and more efficiently. How about suggesting he not beat his daughter at all?

Theft is theft no matter how you do it. It is quite unbelievable that you actually spend time thinking about how people you don't know can steal more money from other people in a way you subjectively deem to be better. Even worse, your justification for this scheme of stealing money from all people on everything they do is to stop "money laundering". In other words, because today some people are avoiding being extorted you believe that we have to find a way so that no one could possibly avoid being robbed.

By the way, you may be mentally insane. You talk about "France and Germany" as though they are individuals. Have you met France? Or Germany? In just a few paragraphs above you have shown that you have numerous constructs in your brain that have no bearing on reality, and are highly immoral and violent. You appear to ascribe individual characteristics to tens of millions of unique individuals just because they happen to live on this or that side of an invisible line drawn up my murderers and criminals. And you want to find better ways to make sure no one in those areas can escape extortion.

FEMALE SEXUALITY

IN RESPONSE TO: "Patriautism"

Let's call TDV to task when you called Barack Obomba's mother a "slut". There is nothing wrong with a woman who is generous with her sexuality, nor being a child of such a woman. In the book Sex At Dawn, The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality, the authors argue that before the war on drugs and the war on terror, there was a war on female sexuality. Like these other wars, this war has a pile of victims. The first debris in the west of this war can be found in words like:'slut' and 'whore' and other pejorative terms for women who are not coy, which was supposed to be their natural state. Remarkably, the authors argue, a moral fence was required to keep them in this natural state (compare the remarks of a politician like Harper, who argued that universal healthcare is 'a genuine Canadian value', which requires a big fence to keep him genuine as well). To protect the fable of the monogamous human (unlike all our close genetic relatives), the church and state (usual suspects) operated foundling hospitals where babies born out of wedlock, contradicting this genuine human value, were put to death. In France in 1822 nearly 140.000 babies out of not naturally coy women were put to death, to keep the narrative alive of what was supposed to be the natural state of women. These 'hospitals' could be found all over europe and also in the USA.

According to the American Medical Association, 42% of women suffer from sexual dysfunction (agree, they might just invent problems to sell a solution). Remarkably the vibrator was patented in 1902 making it only the 5th electrical device patented in the USA with more vibrators than toasters in American homes in 1917. In the muslim world, women are treated even worse. When they show too much of their face, it can already be met with violence and they have to walk around in a black bag. When I heard that considering an alternative reality, conjured up images of CHAOS, this anarchist could not put the book down.

I invite TDV to consider the arguments made in this book about the war on female sexuality and if found true, to abandon it and object to it like the other wars, including it's moral language like 'slut' and 'whore'.

Full disclosure: the author of this text is a single male, who enjoys looking at naked women and to his shock and horror found sexual generosity among women discouraged with strong moral condemnation.

You misunderstood. When I stated that Obomba's mother was a slut and an amateur porn star I was just pointing out some of her interesting activities, some of which have evidence on the Internet. But, what I wasn't doing was trying to denigrate her for those actions.

I believe all humans own their own bodies and can do whatever they like with them and put whatever they want inside it as long as all actions are voluntary. I've also stated numerous times throughout my life that the world needs more sex, not less. The natural act of physical love has been so vilified in much of the world that it's almost any wonder that it ever happens at all.

As well, government and organized religion (which have nothing to do with god—they don't offer god, they just sell it) have been systematically trying to destroy the enjoyment of sex. It is amazing how brainwashed people are today—that you could tell an American that in some African countries they sexually mutilate baby girls as part of their cultural tradition and the American would be horrified at what barbarians they are. But then when you bring up the fact that the same thing is done to male newborns when circumcised, you will be thought crazy. Chopping off what turns out to be nearly 50% of the skin of the penis of a little boy and millions of nerve endings, so that he will never be able to have full sensation while having sex is good, they'll say! Somewhere it was read that it is "cleaner".

Then, both the government and the church will use wild propaganda campaigns to try to scare people into thinking sex is incredibly dangerous (see HIV/AIDS: House of Numbers) despite evidence to the contrary, and scaring people into wrapping their penises in plastic, further reducing any sensation. A male who has been genitally mutilated (circumcised) and uses a condom likely feels about 5% of the sensation that he would otherwise have felt.

Then, because women are so worried about sex, they have less sex with men, and in most parts of the Land of the Free selling sex for money is illegal so men can't even turn to purchasing sex as an alternative. Is it any wonder that some people show up at shopping malls and just start shooting people?

People in the west are extorted daily (taxes), not allowed to do almost anything without permission, many men are mutilated at birth, and people are constantly being inundated by fear mongering telling them that a physical connection between two people is dangerous.

So, no, we we're not trying to vilify Sarah Obama's actions. Far from it. We believe the world needs more love of all types—physical and mental. Our only problem with Sarah Obama was that due to the result of her sexual exploits she spawned the son of Satan. If there were just one time when we think condom use was needed, it was then!
