Why Is This Growing Asset So Controversial? [VIDEO]

Craig Steven Wright is the contentious Australian computer scientist and businessman who has publicly claimed to be the main part of the team that created Bitcoin.  He maintains that he is the identity behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, but these claims are widely regarded as a possible hoax.

Bitcoin SV (BSV) launched in August of 2018 and is described by Wright as an attempt to restore the original Bitcoin protocol.  SV stands for “Satoshi Vision”, representing the goal of building the cryptocurrency as it was conceptualized by the Bitcoin developer.

What makes BSV unique?

While BTC keeps its tiny 1MB blocks, BSV began with a significantly larger block cap of 128 MB.  That’s right, BSV has a default block cap 2000 times bigger than the original Bitcoin.  After the July 2019 upgrade, BSV comfortably handles 1000+ transactions per second, and will continue increasing capacity.

So, is the digital asset here to stay

Aside from Wright’s numerous lawsuits, the big news in the crypto space this week is how Bitcoin SV has skyrocketed in value recently.  But after seeing a nearly 300% year-to-date increase, has the altcoin’s luck run dry?

I explore all of this and more in my latest walk and talk vlog from Mexico City.
