“Aruba, Jamaica, oh I wanna take ya…
Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama”
In 1988, the Beach Boys went on a trip and saw the future – then they made a song about four of the 29 places in the world that would still accept American passports in 2020.
Talk about pre-programming.
Funny, not funny. (My kids made me say it)
American exceptionalism has a new meaning – everyone is welcome EXCEPT Americans.
The Land of Hope and Glory is no longer the Land of Milk and Honey. Trump should build his wall because no self-respecting Mexican wants to live there anymore. And it seems like no self-respecting American wants to live there either…
This year has seen record numbers of Americans parting ways with the USSA – permanently.
According to a recent survey of government data, 5816 Americans renounced their citizenship in the first six months of 2020. That is more than a ten-fold increase from the last six months of 2019, when 444 citizens gave up their passports.
Reasons given for this mass exodus include federal tax rules, political turmoil and government’s mismanagement of the COVAIDS PLANdemic.
They’re already leaving and the food crisis hasn’t even begun yet.
The Ice Age Farmer said yesterday that “Washington State has been stocking away millions of dollars of non-perishable food — so have other US states, and the federal government — in anticipation of “the need ahead.” If states are preparing, so too must you be today. And spread the word.”
Think this is an overreaction?
A provincial government inter-office memo in New Brunswick, Canada let the cat out the bag by warning employees to stock up on food to avoid panic buying when the second wave strikes. This, as New Brunswick comes through its eighth straight day without a new case of the disease.
So if you’re American and you were thinking of hiding it out in Kanada, where nothing bad except Justin Trudeau’s calendar ever happens, think again.
Australia is also a bad idea, unless you’ve always wanted to live in a censorship-police state.More on Australia’s Most Wanted in today’s Lucy and Jeff Show, fresh from Cancun. Where people are actually walking on the beach and swimming in the sea, unless they’re American and hiding in their hotel rooms, scowling at anyone who dares to go without a mask and watching CNN.
Free-minded people should rather consider Nicaragua, where you can finance a tiny home for under $100,000 and live on miles of beautiful beaches in a libertarian capitalist community.
Or, contact my guy in Puerto Vallarta for more information on moving to that part of Mexico.
“The problem with popularity is that if it gets too popular everybody leaves and goes somewhere else.” – Mike Love, Lead Singer of Beach Boys (1975)
You said it Mike.
