The Fiat World

[Editor’s Note: The following is a small excerpt from the August Issue of TDV which was released today, written by Jeff Berwick in “The Big Picture”]

Today, the power of the state has corrupted society absolutely.

This week, fund manager Bill Gross tweeted how unhappy he is that Mitt Romney’s VP selection is in favor of stealing less from citizens.  He is calling for more theft and yet not a person at the cocktail parties he attends will slight him or call him a violent thief.

Dear Slavey – August 14th Edition

Dear Slavey,

I am stuck in the USSA because of family. I have a small amount of money in the bank, have a mortgage on a house, a shabby job, a wife who is not on board and grandchildren. The Weekend Vigilante August 11th, 2012

Hello again from Acapulco,

How are you?  Well, I hope!  I, personally, am having the time of my life and… for that reason, I may keep this Weekend Vigilante a bit on the short side.  Or not.  It actually depends more on when my cigar runs out… although, here, in Mexico, I am sure someone will come by and offer me another one as soon as this wonderful Cuban grown ride ends.  Oh, you can’t purchase Cuban cigars where you live?  You must live in the land of the free!
