Pre-1933 Uncertified Gold Premium Chart – TDV Week In Review – May 3, 2015
Although here at The Dollar Vigilante we generally do not write about pre-1933 gold coins, the following chart was brought to our attention. Originally posted here, it demonstrates today's premiums on some popular gold coins when compared to their historical premiums. While investing in rare coins comes with inherent risks, we thought it would be worth our readers time to look it over. Many of the coins are below their 13-year average premium.
The rare coin market is ideally for the individual with a considerable amount of bullion, and plenty of time. Learning the intricacies of each coin can be tricky, but with enough patience, due diligence, and creative thinking, some of the coins, if offered at the right price, could be a solid store of value over the long term.

Nobody believes that the states will eternally drag the burden of these interest payments. It is obvious that sooner or later all these debts will be liquidated in some way or other, but certainly not by payment of interest and principal according to the terms of the contract.

I was around before the internet. I was always on computers but they had 48k of RAM (not 48mb, not 48gb… 48 kilobytes), had modems that sounded like a fax machine and only one person could get on at a time and our computer monitors were about the size of a Galaxy Note and comachrome. What's comachrome, you ask? Well, basically you had one color you could choose from. The most popular were green and orange. I was excited to get my first green-only monitor because before that I had a 1970s tube black & white television as a monitor.

When I was growing up, my Grandma used to remind me from time to time that all’s fair in love and war. Lately I’m continually reminded of that, as I see the US government (USG) toss out the rule book in their primarily, undeclared war on the entire world, including US citizens. At least the rule book is tossed out from my perspective. When one has the ability to change the rulebook as it suits them to win the war, then the rule book has been tossed out. There are others, though, who still don’t even realize that they are at war, and meekly try to play by whatever rules they’re given by their rule-maker/adversary. Well, it’s only your freedom at stake.
