American Independence Day. The irony is blatant.
My 14 days of solitary, paid incarceration has commenced. The process to enter Australia is beyond draconian. We were escorted off to the airport by police and military personnel. Our first checkpoint took us to the police for a quick interrogation/initial processing prior to a health interrogation before we were ushered by the police to passport control for more traditional entry interrogation (reason to want to enter Australia?)
Ha! Good question, was I all I could think of replying…then baggage claim prior to being escorted by both police and military to wait for the bus. The army loaded our bags, where we had to wait for the police escort to arrive.
All on the bus had been double vaccinated from a quick show of hands…phone numbers were surreptitiously swapped (do do this if you are single…misery loves company) … police escort in situ, the 20-odd of us on the bus were taken to the hotel.
A beautiful, crisp, and sunny Sydney morning without a breath of a breeze seems poignant. Our country, and my former home city, seemingly trying to let us know she still exists somewhere beneath this farce…waiting perhaps…
We arrived at the hotel. Police entered the bus, read us our charges against humanity for being Australians wanting to see our family and friends and then advised us we would be escorted to our rooms where no key will be given as we aren’t leaving until released by them.
To enter the hotel, aka cell block, police and army processed us. First step was a police-overseen check in…dietary requirements entered…then, next step was onto a police data entry station before the Oz army dude escorted me to be passed on to another Oz army guy who then escorted me to my room with my bags.
I have no view of the green.
My window doesn’t open.
I am allotted one food delivery per day from the “outside”.
I swapped to my prison garb today.

I don’t know who wrote this, except that it’s an Australian giving a personal account of the quarantine process after going back “home” in the past few weeks. Other friends have had similar experiences of being carted off to the FEMA camps in different countries.
Nothing I could say or write could tell the story better. These are the actual, on-the-ground facts of what’s been happening.

Please don’t let me interrupt your total inability to think critically or independently with new, unwanted thoughts and ideas.
Continue burying your heads deeper into the bottomless pit that has been dug for it by the propaganda machine and its masters.
So put on your mask and collar, and rollover, because playing dead is the only way to avoid waking up from your post-Corona coma in an economic apocalypse.
