Funny how quickly things change.
Seventeen European governments are suddenly issuing emergency stockpile advisories for their citizens to “be prepared”… while refusing to say for what. The British government is telling people to prepare for at least 72 hours without essential services. Three litres of drinking water per person per day. Non-perishable food. Batteries. Torches. Wind-up radios. Cash! Remember that filthy, dangerous, outdated stuff they keep trying to replace with programmable digital money?
Apparently, being prepared for a breakdown of civilization is no longer conspiracy theory. It's government policy. But don't worry. Nothing to see here. Just another perfectly normal week in the New World Disorder, including… DRUMROLL PLEASE…

Lagarde herself lectured the press about the “Magic 7” in numerology, and they all laughed, because they all knew. The physical world is already cracking. Riyadh airport is closed indefinitely. The US is telling ships to avoid “unnecessary transit” through the Strait of Hormuz while tankers get blown up on the daily. An offshore oil rig off Gabon just sank with 115 people on board. Do oil rigs normally just sink? No storm. No explanation. Just sank. European natural gas crossed €100 for the first time since 2022, up more than 250% since January, right as winter arrives. The UK raised its conscription age to 65. In Ukraine, the conscription age appears to be any white male at any moment and with handcuffs.

Every military base has been ordered to be self-sufficient for 90 days. Ninety days for them, three days of ramen for you. That math tells you everything.
So what does real preparedness look like? Not the government's ramen-noodle plan: Own food. Own water. Own power. Get physically, mentally, and financially ready now.
